Rob Reeves - H-Back/Tight Ends Coach

Rob Reeves is in his first season on the Golden Gopher coaching staff. He coaches the H-backs and tight ends.

Reeves' association with head coach Jerry Kill dates back to his playing days at Saginaw Valley State, where the Michigan native was an All-America quarterback.

For three seasons prior to joining the Minnesota staff, Reeves was the running backs coach at Northern Illinois. At each stop, Reeves has helped Kill develop some of the nation's top rushing attacks. Reeves coached NIU running back Chad Spann to back-to-back First-Team All-MAC honors in 2009 and 2010. Spann was named the MAC's Most Valuable Player in 2010 as well.

Prior to his stint at Northern Illinois, Reeves coached the running backs at Southern Illinois. Saluki running backs coached by Reeves earned four All-America accolades and eight all-conference awards. He also coached two Gateway Conference Newcomers of the Year.

Reeves also served as the running backs coach at Emporia State from 1999-2000. He was a graduate assistant at Saginaw Valley State from 1996-98. As a player at Saginaw Valley, Reeves was a two-year starter at quarterback and was an All-America selection in 1994. He was also a two-time All-Midwest Intercollegiate Conference selection.

Reeves holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Saginaw Valley State. He is a graduate of Saline (Mich.) High School.  He and his wife Angie have four children,  Riley (6), twins Addison and Jackson (4), and Brady (1).
